The aim of this Certificate Course is to develop an understanding of the importance of the linkages between natural and cultural heritage.
Natural elements contribute to the evolution of cultural elements, and the study of its integration has become crucial for heritage conservation and sustainable development. Identifying and examining the linkages between the natural and cultural heritage act as effective measures in the evolving field of heritage conservation.
This course will participants to understand the complexities involved in the exploration of nature-culture linkages in the context of heritage sites in India. The course will discuss key aspects of natural heritage and architectural heritage, and the linkages between them.
Upon completion of the course the participants should:
Towards the end of the course, participants will be assessed on their reflection on the topic, critical thinking, involvement and participation at the SEMINAR. It will be moderated by one of our lecture speakers.
There will be 10 days of classes delivered over 5 months (March 2022 – July 2022) on Tuesdays.
