A broad aim of this master class is to introduce the participants to the international perspectives on heritage. The participants will be introduced to the heritage organizations such as ICOMOS, World Heritage, and World Monuments Fund.
This master class will help the participants to understand the importance of heritage conservation globally, and the role of international heritage bodies. The number of professional bodies, NGOs and funding agencies that are involved in heritage conservation activities across the globe. Some of the key organizations include UNESCO, ICCROM, IUCN, WMF, Global Heritage Fund and so forth. We will explore the role and activities of some of these organizations and understand their contribution to heritage conservation India.
