HEAR IT FROM OUR ALUMNI!

“The program delivered was beyond my expectations. Being enrolled in a five year course for my Bachelors, I only expected a little from a year-long program. But IHA’s teaching format is articulated really well to deliver every aspectof Heritage possible. It stands true to the course’s name which is Heritage ‘Studies’ and not only Heritage ‘Conservation’…All the sessions held at INTACH, be it online or offline, were very effective because no two sessions were same at any point. Every lecture delivered here has taught me varieties of subjects related to Heritage. If in any case the sessions by experts were difficult to grasp, they were systematically curated and made understandable for the ones who did not belong to a core Architectural or Conservation background.”

– Ankita Malviya, PGD Batch 2020-21

“The course is very well designed for heritage enthusiasts and conservation professionals. I really enjoyed the fact that rather than the usual exam type system, we had the opportunity to apply everything that the course taught us in our assignments like the heritage management plan or city heritage plans etc. it was a great learning opportunity for people who come for such a different background…The PG Diploma course opened up my world to a wide range of skills like understanding the context of heritage conservation as well the broad base of heritage, as opposed to the way we look at it. Most times, heritage is plainly viewed as old monuments, but this course made me look at heritage as covering aspects like intangible cultural heritage , natural heritage etc. One of the best aspects of the course was the ability to interact with professionals who were actively working on projects and were able to give us real time knowledge. Also, it helped me understand and appreciate aspects like urban planning etc which was totally new for me and out of my comfort zone.”

– Teja Amaldi, PGD Batch 2020-21
