In 2014, Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) had launched a major international Research Scholarship Programme under three categories: INTACH (UK) Scholarships: to enable UK citizens to travel to India and to follow in India any course of conservation study/research which will be beneficial to either or both countries, INTACH Research Grants: to support advanced research in the field of heritage conservation in India, INTACH Capacity Building Grants: to its staff and members towards building their capacities as individual professionals, or the Chapter or Division within which they are working.

With the generous support of India International Centre (IIC), INTACH had initiated the ‘INTACH-IIC Research Lecture Series’ in order to share the research methodology and preliminary outcomes of our scholars with a wider audience, students and researchers.

Now, in order to mark the end of the previous cycle of scholarship (2014-15) and commence the new one (2015-16), INTACH and IIC are jointly hosting a mega event illustrating research in the domains of built, natural and ‘living’ heritage.

The colloquium aims to bring together the research scholars, old and new, for an exchange of ideas and experiences. It will provide an opportunity for old scholars to share their methodology, concerns, challenges and potentials whilst undertaking their research. The current batch of scholars will get an opportunity to learn from experiences of previous scholars and share their own views/ suggestions/ concerns as they prepare to embark upon their research.

The colloquium is open to the public and we cordially invite you all to join us.
