The broad aim of the Experts Meeting and Public Forum is to set the tone for the ways in which the Network will function in its third year and to deliberate on its future.
In the two days of the Experts Meeting and Public Forum, we plan to achieve the following objectives:
- To share and disseminate the research and work undertaken by the Network on this critical approach where sustainability is not only related to urban heritage and development, but also to local economies and livelihoods of people who inherit spaces around heritage sites and areas.
- To discuss the way forward of the Network with interested professionals, organizations and other stakeholders, and to get their suggestions on board for the improvement of the Network.
- Consider opening the Network for public membership, and deliberate on the roles that various members can play.
Who can attend?
The event is open to heritage professionals, cultural and creative practitioners, economists, urban planners and people from other related fields.

Share your work
If you are a cultural or creative practitioner and have worked on enhancing the livelihood of people dependent on heritage, you are welcome to share your experiences/projects/case studies at our Public Forum. Please send us a synopsis of the work you would like to share at firstname.lastname@example.org. If it directly falls within the domain of the Network, we’ll be happy to have you as a presenter at our event.
Registration charges: INR 2,000/-
[This includes registration fee, delegate packs, any handouts for the event, refreshments and lunches on two days, and field visit, if any].
